Pre & PostNatal Yoga
I became pregnant with my second child during my yoga teacher training, and embarked on my journey as a teacher at the same time as trying to navigate the often-contradictory seas of information about practicing yoga while pregnant. Armed with first-hand, albeit anecdotal, empirical research in my own body, as well as countless hours of self-directed research from trusted sources, traditions, and scientific studies, I began teaching prenatal yoga in Berlin, Germany in 2016, and have continued to teach and study in Portland and, again, in my own body through labor, delivery, and postpartum. My pre- and postnatal yoga teaching is founded on these ongoing learning experiences. My aim is to help empower and educate pregnant people to make their own choices about their mindful movement practices.
